Maison Brotte is a family-owned and independent company founded in 1931 in Châteauneuf-du-Pape by Charles Brotte. Today, Thibault and Benoît, the 5th generation, are joining alongside their parents Christine and Laurent, driven by the same desire to know how to « do things well » as their ancestors. Their pioneering and visionary spirit has made it possible to build expertise recognized in more than 100 countries. As early as 1931, they were among the first in the region to market wines in bottles, which enabled export development starting in the 1950s. Supported by wines with an authentic and fresh style, Maison Brotte consolidates its winemaker expertise with three estates. Domaine Barville in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Domaine Grosset in Cairanne and Château de Bord in Laudun.
This represents a total of 87 hectares, under sustainable farming. In this spirit of sharing, Jeanne Brotte, grandmother of the current owner, created in 1972 the Wine Museum of more than 500 m2. Located in the very heart of Châteauneuf du Pape, it welcomes visitors from around the world to introduce the wines and appellations of the Rhône Valley.
